559834_485879641472382_575162852_nMarta González Bordonaba is a Spanish Violinist and Musicologist based in the London/Surrey area.

Her studies and professional experience embrace many aspects of music, and Marta freelances as a violinist, music editor and type-setter, and has her own private teaching practice. She is also experienced in acting as a musical consultant for the theatre.

Originally trained as a violinist, Marta graduated in Spain with a BMus in Violin Performance and Chamber Music. She became a member of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE) and the Navarra Symphony Orchestra (1999-2003) and collaborated with the Spanish National Orchestra and the Spanish National Classical Theatre Company. Her recording credits include a number of commercial CDs and session work for film and television.

An interest in musicology and critical editions of musical works led to an extended period of advanced training – first at La Rioja University, Spain, and now at Royal Holloway University of London. Recent credits include co-editing a number of editions for Schott-London.

Since relocating to the UK in 2013 Marta has been active both as a violin teacher in the North London Colourstrings Centre & Conservatoire and as a freelance violinist (Orpheus Sinfonia).
